Pt. Arena Rock Art: To access the area where these photos were taken, you take a side trail off the Discovery Trail. It takes you to the top and backside of the rock formations shown in slides 1 and 2. That bright red that you see on these photos is lichen that grows on the side of the cliff. The side trail allows you to cross over the arch that is shown. Here nature has drawn wonderful pictures on the rock and you can go down to the water’s edge.
