Sand Tufa Trail: The south tufa trail goes to the lake and then curves to the right. The tufa towers tend to predominate the view so people often don’t continue to the right to see the sand tufa. These are much smaller and look like castles to me. You can make a loop of South Tufa and Sand Tufa. I recommend you continue around the loop instead of turning around and skipping this part.
